Konark is a Darshini gone upscale. The interiors have been given a makeover and the menu includes, besides the tiffin staples of idli, vada and dosa, an excellent Bonda Soup and Kharabhath. North Indian offerings include Kulcha, Tarka Dal and Kadhai Veg. There's also Chinese, but limited to variations on the Manchurian theme. While it's the South Indian fare that they do best, affordable pricing and quick service keeps Konark in business. It's definitely one of the value-for-money vegetarian eateries downtown, offering a few more comforts than your stand-and-eat Darshini does. They have a branch in commercial street also.
