Krachang Floating Restaurant

Laem Hin Pier Cuisines: Seafood, Asian, Thai

About

Krachang (which means, literally, "floating") restaurants are unique in more ways than one. For starters, they float. To reach the place, you'll need to take a longtail boat ride of just a few minutes, as the restaurant is not right on the pier. Once you're "on board," the restaurant will also surprise you with its food choice. This seafood restaurant offers much more than just your typical fish fare. Here, you'll find anything from Moray eels to giant Thai oysters to blowfishes. Though the restaurant itself is modest, the prices are not. A plate of mantis shrimps, for example, can set you back U$20 or more.
