La Esquina de la Marmita

Fresia 300 Cuisines: European

About

Cozy and candlelit, La Marmita specializes in warm crocks of fondue, as well as the other Swiss favorite, raclette. Both involve a diner's participation, which usually makes for an amusing dinner -- but if you are a fondue fan, you won't be as impressed here as in Europe, for example (the right cheeses aren't always available). Fondue can be ordered a variety of ways, with standard bread cubes, squares of breaded meat, or vegetables. A raclette runs along the same lines; diners heat cheese to eat with cured meats and potatoes; it's not as fun as fondue, but enjoyable nevertheless.
