La Marseillaise is a culinary institution in Managua and was one of the first restaurants to offer gourmet cuisine since before the war. The building itself is a work of art, with a beautifully manicured lawn and sculpted hedge leading to an arched door and villa-style house. Inside, pieces of fine art adorn the walls, as Nicaragua's beautiful people dine on delicious filets of fish and meat in rich sauces. The desserts are alone worth a visit. The restaurant is situated on a suburban street in Los Robles -- just spot all the sparkling SUVs parked outside and you'll know you have arrived.
