La Piccola Italia

Obispo Hurtado 3 Cuisines: Italian

About

This elegantly decorated and inviting restaurant several blocks south of Plaza de la Trinidad and the cathedral is Granada's best Italian restaurant and a nice change of pace from Spanish food. Tables are set with beautiful linens, drawings adorn the walls, and there is much use of glass and wooden furniture. The waiters are among the more skilled in Granada. Many families come here for pizzas straight from the ovens, but the pasta dishes are also good, especially the ravioli filled with fresh spinach and a regional cheese. The chefs are also adept at such dishes as a perfectly fried and seasoned chicken cutlet or salmon in a creamy white sauce. Desserts are homemade and luscious.
