Kutlikova 9 Cuisines: European, Continental

About

Arguably Bratislava's best restaurant isn't in the Old Town at all, but rather across the river in the sprawling Communist-era suburb of Petrzalka. Head chef Marcel Ihnacák trained with Britain's Jamie Oliver and has imported Oliver's philosophy of simple foods and fresh ingredients. Here, the emphasis is on local dishes with a Mediterranean flair like oven-roasted beef sirloin with pecorino cheese, served with beetroot, mashed potatoes, and arugula salad. The interior is simple and refined and provides a perfect foil for the food. Take a taxi here, since you're not likely to find it otherwise.
