Sound-proofed walls reaching all the way from the basement to the roof ensure that the nuns living in the church grounds next door don't have the place closed down. Entry to Magma is through an imposing set of reinforced steel doors in one of the oldest buildings in Galatasaray. It shares a little sidestreet with several shady nightclubs. The resident DJ attracts a regular crowd of clubbers with deep techno and trance sounds while another DJ spins hard house and techno about once a month. Special guest nights are also organized, with DJs flown in from Germany and Switzerland. Make sure you leave your attitude at home - the doormen here have plenty to go round!
