Mausoleum of Bahu Begum, considered to be one of the finest buildings of its kind in Avadh, was built on the order of Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah. The Nawab constructed the Maqbara after the death of his wife, Bahu Begum, in 1816. The mausoleum was built at the cost of three lakh rupees by her chief advisor Darab Ali Khan.
