The mosque is located in Jalan Tubagus Angke Angke RT 001 RW 05, Kampung Rawa Bebek, Angke Village, Tambora Sub-District, West Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. The mosque is located is surrounded by houses, while in the front or the eastern part there is the tomb. While additional building was built in 1979 Angke mosque was built on April 2 1761M by a Chinese woman named Mrs. Muslim Tartars. Nio Tan is married to the Bantam. The history of this mosque is related to the Governor-General Adrian Valckenier (1737-1741). In his reign occurred the tensions with the people and the Chinese people have been mounting. Then in 1740 the Chinese people are armed to infiltrate and attack Batavia. Therefore, Valckenier ruled that Chinese people killed en masse. This deiketahui by the Dutch government so Valckenier held accountable and the governor general is regarded as reprehensible. Then he was arrested and imprisoned in Batavia in 1941, and shortly thereafter died Valckenier Andrian.
