About

Abdellah Garmat welcomes diners into his family home (they still live on the first floor) to experience true home-cooked Moroccan cuisine. The ground-floor courtyard has been converted (though one gets the feeling it looks much the same) into a restaurant with cushioned lounges, zellij tables, colorful stucco, and Moroccan lanterns. This is merely the setting, though, to experience Lalla Garmat's exceptional cooking. A limited but varied menu of Moroccan classics is offered. Specialties include a sweet and savory pastilla with almonds and honey, harira soup, and Lalla's vegetable tagine. If you're around on Friday, join the family for their midday couscous.
