Monumental Ensemble of La Alcazaba comprises two Muslim enclosures and a Christian one, all making up a fortress dating back 1,000 years. Considered a clean and well-preserved example, the lowest section has gardens, the second has buildings and baths, and the highest has a parade grounds, three towers, and a silo. If you're more into popular films than Spanish history, this attraction may strike you as familiar: It's featured in Conan the Barbarian as well as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
