This modest but dignified two-story building served as the first official seat of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The exhibition includes documents, pictures, weapons, and objects from the War of Independence up to the founding of the republic, set in the original hall with desks straight out of a classroom scene from Little House on the Prairie. Lining the walls are wax figures of all of the presidents, an unusually grotesque custom of veneration repeated in the Atatürk Mausoleum.
