Located close to SM mall, Napoli is an Italian restaurant focusing on authentic ingredients and food. Two stories, Napoli has spacious accommodations. The first floor features a large, open wood fired brick oven that is used for all the pizzas. The back also contains an open kitchen area, while a video slide show of pictures from the restaurant's history are shown for the pleasure of guests. The upstairs is decorated with items of interest from Italy, including a large picture of Napoli, and also features a bar and coffee stand. Napoli focuses on authenticity, and all of the ingredients, from the tomatoes to the flour, is imported from Italy. What few ingredients are not imported, are made by the staff using authentic methods. These include some of the cheese and the limoncello, served at the upstairs bar. Although you will not find loaded chain-style pizzas, you will find pizzas with quality ingredients. The pizza Margarita is a staff favorite, as are the gulf kisses, little bits of pizza dough stuffed with various ingredients like garlic and prosciutto. The manager is Italian and has worked in the restaurant Industry from a very young age. Friendly, funny, and informative, he is quick to stop by tables to make sure the food is satisfying. Although expensive, the imported and handmade ingredients are worth it to those who have the pockets and the taste for authentic Italian food.
