This southern suburbs complex is open throughout the year but be warned - the pools are not heated. The Olympic-size pool has made Newlands one of the most popular swimming gala venues in South Africa. In addition to this, the complex has a diving pool and a baby pool. The lawns are often used for children's parties, and schools benefit from concessions granted to school groups during school hours. Hours of operation vary depending on the season, so be sure to call ahead before visiting.
