Northern Art Impressions

Lake Louise Drive

About

This simple art gallery in Lake Louise brings the art-work of friends and neighbors from the north to the tourist population in Banff National Park. Back in the 1970's, the owners of Northern Art Impressions lives in the arctic, where they befriended the local Inuit population and encouraged the creation of art. These sculptures and drawings capture the very soul of Inuit life. Many of the artists have been personal friends of the gallery for over 35 years. Other media, such as paintings, are available at the gallery, as well. The Woodlands peoples, in particular, produce stunning depictions of their spiritual history and journey. This is a truly unique gallery of First Nations art. While many galleries will house pieces of First Nations art, not many will focus entirely on them, nor will they have the personal relationship with the artists that is the unique identity of Northern Art Impressions.
