Nystekt Strömming, Södermalmstorg, in the square (T Slussen). Typical Swedish food, difficult to find elsewhere. Fried herring in all variants, e.g. with mashed potato. Just a small stand, outside the northern exit of the Slussen subway station. Very good and quite famous! Open 11:00-18:00 in the summer, 11:00-15:00 in winter.
