Otel Variete is a fun, hip place to go that many outside of Florence don't know about. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The place has a stylish cabaret vibe. The food is great, as is service. And it is all about entertainment. There is a large, grand stage which might feature dancing girls or an illusionist or classical musicians or a DJ - that is really part of the fun. The tasting menu is the way to go, if you are open to trying most anything Italian. After dinner, you can stay for dancing and partying, too. The lights change, the music rises, and people let lose (in a chic, sophisticated Italian way). Don't miss it.
