About

The "Ottoburg" - an ancient house overgrown by wild wine - was erected by decree of Maximilian I. in the 15 th century, in place of a small castle of the counts of Andechs. It is situated at the old city walls, of which parts can still be seen today. For centuries the Ottoburg has been housing an excellent restaurant and wine bar. Worth visiting are the different rooms. Sculptor Christian Plattner's two statues in front of the Ottoburg depict a father and son in commermoration of the wars against the french army under Napoleon in 1809.
