About

There are two and half Shree Ganapati Peeths in India and the Padmalaya Kshetra is considered to be the half Peeth. This temple is situated on top of a hill with tiny Ganapati temples located all around the main temple. The main temple has the padukas(foot ware) of Shree Govind Maharaj in the front along with a giant bell beside it. There is a hall situated next to the temple that has 4 feet tall mouse made of stone. The chamber houses two self-existent Ganesh idols with one idol having the trunk curved to the right side, while the other has its trunk curved to the left side. But both of them have silver crown. One can also visit to Bheemkund, located around a kilometre from the temple and is the same place in Mahabharata, where Bheema killed Bakasura.
