A high-stepping, high-energy show draws raves in Palm Springs. The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies celebrates the music and dance of the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. And the cast is old enough to have lived through that golden era of entertainment too. Many of them were performers back in the day and range in age from 56 to 81. The Follies is such a unique show (and story) that a short-subject documentary about it earned an Academy Award nomination. Shows are performed in the city's historic Plaza Theater and celebrated guest stars and international vaudeville acts take the stage with the Follies’ world-renowned line of "Long-Legged Lovelies and Follies Gentlemen." The Follies show runs from late October through mid-May. Inside Tip: Many hotels offer Follies packages, so surf the web before you leave home and you may save some fabulous dough.
