About

Reef HQ Aquarium invites guests to visit all the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef at the 'world's largest living Coral Reef Aquarium'. Not only is Reef HQ Aquarium an award winning major tourist attraction in North Queensland, it is also the education facility for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and home to thousands of incredible fish, corals and North Queensland's first dedicated turtle hospital. The Reef HQ Aquarium Turtle Hospital is designed to rehabilitate sick and injured marine turtles so they can be released back into the ocean, enhancing their long term survival and sustainability as a threatened species. The aquarium acts as window to the reef and boasts a range of displays and exhibits to stimulate the visitors curiosity so they learn about the Great Barrier Reef, even on a dive trip a visitor would rarely see so many creatures in such detail. Talks and Tours occur throughout the day and are included in the cost of entry. Their premier experiences are: 10.30am - Predator Dive Show 11.15am and 2.00pm - Discovery Lagoon Experience 12.00pm and 3.30pm - Turtle Hospital Tour 2.30pm - Animal Feeding Tour
