Under an agreement with DCAL, Iveagh Angling Club exercises the fishing rights on all stretches of the River Lagan between Thornyford Bridge, outside Dromore, to Spencers Bridge, Flatfield, Notices are posted at access points on all stretches indicating permitted methods, restrictions on Sunday fishing etc.DCAL has re-introduced salmon to the Lagan catchment after an absence of 150 years. Fish passes have been constructed to allow adults upstream an a consistent run has been established. The stretch is a good trout water with dry flies predominant.
