The name alone suggests adventure and intrigue. There are more tales about the Russian Market (most of them urban myths) than in a book of short stories. It used to be said that you could buy any (yes, any) Russian military item you wanted, from pistols to plutoniums. These days, it's more pirated CDs, imitation sports wear, electronic goods at ridiculously low prices, and a range of unusual goods, such as pots and pans and ladies bras.
