Opened in 2008, this cozy, but spacious restaurant, bar and live performance space came to be because of necessity. The neighborhood needed a gathering place to hear great music, eat good food, have a drink or just hang out. And Rustik is the perfect place to do it all. The brick walls, long wooden bar, comfy couches and chairs are warmed by a wood burning fireplace in winter. And the tavern's rear living room—complete with vintage piano and walls lined with 70s and 80s music memorabilia—opens onto an amazing stone patio, affectionately called Rustik Garden. But that's just the beginning. Looking for something to eat Rustik is proud of its delicious bar favorites like nachos, wings and sliders which shares the menu with more creative dishes like their own blackened salmon, seafood pasta, and a delightfully spicy crab cake. Rustik's brunch menu boasts some of Brooklyn's finest dishes such as chicken and waffles and savory shrimp and grits (served during Sat & Sun brunch only).
