The owner Ivan Ottaviani, is a big wine lover and the restaurant has one of the best wine lists in Athens with a focus on Italian wines. The service is extremely friendly in Sale e Pepe. The restaurant is high up the hill at the end of Kolonaki area. The inside of the restaurant reminds of an old French style bistro, charming and cozy. There is a wooden library and the special wine refrigerators. The food is consistently excellent (and fairly priced) with a northern Italian slant. Unique dishes like fasianos, pasta with lobster, bisteca Florentina (steak).
