About
Sirigere is a small village located in the Chitradurga District, about 26 km from the main city. This place is mainly famous for the Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath, located on the Poona-Bangalore National Highway. This Math was founded by saint Marulasiddha in the 12th Century AD. The present head priest of the Math is Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji. Different educational and religious centres are also run by this Math.
