Sporvejen

Gråbrødretorv 17

About

Burger bars seem to spring up all the time in the city, but Sporvejen seems to have been a fixture on the almost unpronouncable Gråbrødre Torv Square for forever. What sets this rather poky burger spot apart from the others in Copenhagen is its unusual decor: Sporvejen's interior is actually made from one of Copenhagen's old trams, which last ran through the city in 1972. If you can manage to find a seat in one of the narrow booths, the menu offers a wide selection of burgers at very reasonable prices (from around 50kr at lunchtime and 80kr in the evening) as well as a selection of omelettes for vegetarians. A fun dining experience for young and old alike.
