Half a km North of Janmabhoomi is Swarg Dwar, or Ram Ghat, which is an important bathing ghat. According to mythology, Lord Rama is said to have been cremated here. The strip of land from Sahasradhara to Nageshwarnath temple is commonly denoted as Swargdwar.
