The Big Lake

The main attraction is the Big Lake, where much of the action takes place. But this being laid-back Yercaud, the action is decidedly low-key and restful. This place is also called the Emerald Lake, this is a prime attraction of Yercaud. It is located at the edge of the town and has hills and greenery surrounding it. There is a boat house, and paddle boats are available for boating. At the center of the lake is a beautiful fountain. This lake is said to be the only natural lake in the hill stations of the south.
