This is an affluent dive in the middle of Zamalek that's favored by businessmen and well-heeled locals. Dark and low-ceilinged, The Cellar is a little less lively than Pub 28 (below) and a little more expensive. The food's not as good as Pub 28, but I recommend this place on a Thursday night if you're looking for a pub atmosphere and want to be able to hear what your friends are saying. Note that there is usually a minimum charge equivalent to about four beers per person.
