The Copper Coast European Geopark is locatedon the South East coast of Ireland,between Tramore and Dungarvan in County Waterford.It extends between Fenor in the east toStradbally in the west and up to Dunhill in the north.The Copper Coast Visitors Centre is located in Bunmahon and provides information on the area in the form of trail cards and a visual display. Please call ahead for opening times. The Copper Coast gets its name from the19th Century copper mines that lie at its heart.It comprises some 25 kilometres of spectacular coastline consisting of scalloped beaches and covesbuttressed and enclosed by rocky headlands.Oceans, volcanoes, deserts and ice sheetsall combined to create the rocks, which provide thephysical foundation of the natural and culturallandscapes of the Copper Coast.
