About

This tiny restaurant has only six or so tables, but it is still one of the hippest spots in New Delhi. The design of the place is offbeat: tables have interesting objects like broken watches and matchboxes under their glass tops, and the ceiling is swaddled by a fabric installation. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but what's served is beautifully cooked. The zucchini fritters, the chicken with rambutan in red curry and the thin crust pizzas—especially the pear, rocket, walnut and ricotta pie—are all superb. The Grey Garden also holds regular supper clubs, where performance artists provide quirky entertainment. It's the kind of place to linger over endless glasses of wine and actually talk to your dinner companions. Just make sure you make a reservation as this is, deservedly, a popular spot.
