Cozy and evocative, this popular dining room, set on the first floor of the hotel, is covered with worn paneling, whose nicks and scratches only add to the character of the room. Don't expect haute cuisine here. Instead you get soul-satisfying mountain-style food prepared with honest ingredients handled in an efficient and straightforward manner. Meals are served amid hunting trophies, collections of medals, and old photographs. The Weinstube welcomes some of Chur's most prominent citizens. Sometimes the chef prepares a double entrecôte marchand de vin or a chateaubriand Henri-IV. You can also order more standard fare, such as pot-au-feu (meat stew) and polenta with cheese.
