About

What does Tampere look like when seen from a horse carriage There are horses now at Tallipiha, the former stable yard of the Finlayson factory. Six days a week (one day is reserved for rest) the horse is harnessed to a wonderful, more than 100-year-old carriage. Passengers can suggest places they would like to see or go to, or let the coach driver decide. Of course, you cannot go very far with the horse cab, but sightseeing in the nearby Näsinpuisto or Hämeenpuisto parks, or a lift to the Särkänniemi adventure park can be arranged. The horse cab ride is a pleasant experience. The horse's ears point forward eagerly and his hooves clatter on the road. The cars and bicycles stop and give way to the horse in the city traffic. The coachman tells that this is a very gifted and clever horse that can be used for all kinds of other work as well.
