About

Erected in 1789, the stately manor house on Vredenheim, with its exuberant, baroque gables has been declared a national monument. Around the cellar, there is row upon row of vineyards, bordered by traditional white and red roses. Blesbuck, horses, cattle and ostriches roam around the estate, which also has a meandering river. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the Barrique Restaurant, situated on the veranda of the cellar with a view of the gardens on Vredenheim. Delicious South African and Italian cuisine accompanies the enchanting Vredenvonkel wines.
