Washpool National Park is World Heritage listed and features the Coombadjha camping area. Access to Washpool National Park is via a four kilometre gravel road off the Gwydir Highway approximately 70 kilometres west of Glen Innes. Enjoy walking through rainforest and dry forest and alongside the the beautiful Coombadhja Creek. You'll see rare giant red cedar trees, with signs explaining their historical significance. Be sure to take in the pretty Summit Falls. View a variety of plant life: coachwood, crab-apple, figs and lilly pillies - is a special feature of this walk.Call in at the Glen Innes Visitor Centre for the brochure: "Visitor Guide Washpool and Gibraltar Range".
