It is a three bedroom imaginatively restored and extended cottage, on its own grounds and is truly a home from home and carries Irish Tourist Board four star status.Winnies Cottage is an ideal location to explore the south west of Ireland, from the Beara Peninsula to the Ring of Kerry, as well as the Dingle Peninsula and the Lakes of Killarney. Winnies is set in the midst of walking country with several dedicated and marked cross country treks and mountain paths, including one to the top of Carantouhill, the highest mountain in Ireland. All forms of water sports are available close by on Kenmare Bay. Sneem is just 5 kilometres away and boasts quality restaurants, pubs, shops, a bakery, art galleries and coffee shops. Kenmare is the nearest town and has beautiful craft shops, galleries and restaurants of national prominence. There is even a late night taxi service to and from Winnies Cottage and Kenmare.The property is fully furnished and can accommodate six to seven guests in three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is ensuite and there is another large family bathroom and a WC. There are hardwood floors throughout, a stove for logs or coal, exposed internal stonework and an open plan ground floor. The house is surrounded by a large wild garden and there is a terrace with tables, chairs and a barbecue from which to enjoy the spectacular views.
