Workhouse Studios located in the Church building of the historic Kilmacthomas workhouse in County Warerford, is hom e to a group of artists and craftspeople. This innovative group showcase handmade, contemporary design focused products in textiles, jewellery, glass and ceramics.At the studio visitors can meet all of the artists in their work environment, witness them working their raw materials, their individual but refined technical process and understand the work behind each crafted piece.The studio also run a comprehensive array of workshops in all of their disciplines, for all ages and abilities, however booking is essential. Often included in many of the workshops is a tour of the workhouse from the outside.
