Store Kongensgade, the expensive shopping street by Kongens Nytorv, is home to a small shop with fine jewelry, A Dragsted, named after its 1854 founder. The shop is now run by the fifth generation of Dragsteds and specializes in pearls and jewels, found on rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. The pearls are from various places: Japan, Australia, Tahiti and China. The precious stones they use include a large selection of rubies, emeralds, sapphires, lapis and opals. Every item in the shop is handmade by their qualified goldsmiths. The prices are high, but the quality of everything is exceptional. This shopping area in general is high-class.
