The family of Smyth laid out Ballynatray House and Demense, Temple Michael, Co. Waterford, over a time interval of more than three hundred years. The first house was fortified early in the 17th Century. A century later, the house was remodelled again and finally, the house as it stands today, was built between 1795 and 1797. Molana Abbey will continue to be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Easter to the end of September during 2010. In addition, Molana Abbey, the small kitchen garden and pleasure ground will be open everyday, from Sunday, 29th May, to Sunday, 1st of August 2010, from 9.30am until 4.30pm.The house will open on selected days throughout 2013.May 27-31, June 1-30, July 1-31, Aug 17-25,from 10am- 4.30pm each dayTo avoided disappointment please telephone for more information on visiting arrangements, etc.
