Il Desco is an intimate and welcoming bistro situated in the heart of the historical center of Florence, a few steps from the Duomo serving tasty food made primarily with local organic ingredients
Fresh vegetables, extra virgin olive oil and other produce are sourced from the certified organic (ICEA) farm "Podere La Croce" in Reggello, owned by the same proprietor of the Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco and Il Desco, , while meats and cheeses are selected by other local farmers.
The atmosphere is warm and casual and the food is freshly prepared with tasty suggestions for vegetarians, "carnivores" and those intolerant to gluten. There are dishes of the traditional Tuscan cuisine often revisited with a more contemporary inspiration and you will find the introduction of ethnic food, such as seitan, harmonized with "our personal" taste.
