Holy Spirit was one of two parishes chosen to host the archdiocese's Rite of Election earlier this year. The priests of the parish must be commended for empowering lay parishioners and trusting us to fulfil what we are called to do in our ministries. They don't run the parish as their empire but as their family. In return, we respect and love them. Those in ministry know their boundaries and serve within them. We obey our priests because we want to. They are our shepherds and we know they love us.
