About

The best Moroccan restaurant in town is spacious and touched with many charming elements of Moroccan decor. The wide-ranging menu begins with a medley of traditional Moroccan starters, but main courses are served in generous portions, so save room. There's a house tagine of lamb slow cooked in plums, apricots, and almonds; traditional chicken with olives; spicy Moroccan meatballs; a choice of many grilled meats and fish; homemade sausages, and such authentic dishes as beef tongue cooked with mushrooms, brains in hot chili sauce, and artichoke stuffed with ground lamb. There's also excellent couscous and a gourmet house specialty of lamb cooked with truffles that must be ordered in advance. Lots of traditional desserts and gracious service round out an absolute feast. If you don't go overboard, you can eat well here for a very moderate price. There are fixed-price lunch specials.
