Nalusuan Island lies a few kilometers southeast of Cebu mainland. It is a coral island and the nearest from Cebu City. Because of its proximity, the diving infrastructure is well developed and many visitors can be in the water within an hour or so from flying in. The island offers heavenly high-quality dive sites. For advanced divers, Nalusuan and Hilutungan island marine sanctuaries are the areas to go, two of Mactan's most popular areas. For excellent night diving, the best areas are Kontiki, Buyong, Marigondon and Lido Point. There are a lot of motorized water sports around Mactan area and new divers are advised to go with diving professionals during their trips. Tingo Point northern most part of Olango Island, which is 20 minutes boat ride west coast of Mactan Island is extremely deep and divers can see a lot of Thresher Sharks and large Tuna. Besides deep sea diving at Tingo Point, it is also known for other activities such as Shark Watching and Tuna Hunting.
