About

Parc des Délices (Park of Delights) was not always the charming public park that it is now. Between 1755 and 1765 the park, then known as Sur Saint-Jean, was owned by Voltaire until he returned to France, selling the land. Since 1943, a beautiful French-style garden has surrounded the residence which now houses the Voltaire Institute and Museum.
