Police Museum

Wanchai Gap

About

The uniforms, vehicles and assorted paraphernalia of Hong Kong's finest, from 1844 to present, are located on the site of the former Wanchai Gap Police Station. The most intriguing displays are the rituals and practices of the Triads, the Chinese equivalent of the Italian Mafia, though the stuffed head of a tiger that killed a policeman in 1915 makes an interesting postcard note. The museum is an excellent departure point for hikes along Lady Clementine's Ride and Black's Link, both of which afford stunning views of Aberdeen and the south side of the island. Admission: Free.
