If you're looking for a change of pace from the overabundance of ceviche, seafood, and even sushi, try this simple trattoria-style Italian restaurant. You can start things off with some fried calamari or a plate of antipasti. If you want something lighter, the wood-oven pizzas are excellent. The long list of pasta options includes several homemade fresh pastas. A variety of fresh seafood is served simply, but it's expertly grilled. If you want something more elaborate, order the shrimp in a cream-and-cognac sauce. There's a slight maritime theme indoors, with some ship models and relics. I especially like the artfully placed panes of colored glass. La Dolce Italia offers delivery; in fact, they even deliver to ships docked in the bay.
