Drive through the scenic southern coastline of Cebu Province en route to Oslob town, 117 kilometers southeast of Cebu City. You pass by interesting towns like Carcar, well known for its bustling shoe-making industry; native delicacies such as "ampao" (sweetened rice crispies) and the famous Carcar made "chicharon" (crispy pork skin). Drive on to Argao, famous for its 400 year-old St. Michael Archangel Church; then to Dalaguete town known as the vegetable capital of Cebu. Finally you reach Oslob, with its old Spanish ruins and church belfry dating back to 1788. Continue on to Bancogon town - the jump off point for a 15 minute boat ride to Sumilon Island, a 24-hectare island considered as the Philippine's first marine reserve and one of the best dive spots in the Visayan Region.
