This theme restaurant based on the classic Czech novel The Good Soldier Svejk serves traditional Czech cuisine. Their mixture of folklore and traditional food has been so successful that the restaurant has expanded and become and become a veritable franchise. Beef, pork and chicken dominate the menu and vegetarians will be hard pressed to find much more than the usual fried cheese, mushrooms or cauliflower. As the original restaurant is located near Prague's Old Town Square and in the Jewish Quarter, it is frequented by tourists and locals alike. Outdoor seating in the summer never fails to pull in the crowds.
