About

Downtown's best restaurant is housed in this partly circular, contemporary white Mediterranean building, which offers fine views of the historic squares, port, and Morro. The menu, though international, features interesting local and Peruvian cuisine. Try the local meat specialties such as a simply prepared lamb dish or quinoa pie filled with vegetables, or if you really want to go for protein, with beef (quinoa's grainlike seeds are also protein-rich). Watch where you put your hands: Hot metal plates allow you to join in the preparation of your meal. The desserts are equally tantalizing, especially the Boa Boa, a tropical fruit flambé that's drenched with ice cream. The restaurant also offers art exhibitions, and live music on weekends.
